STREAMLINING
Line Learning Technique

by Deanne Henry

Streamlining

gently places text into your creative, nonjudgmental

right brain, enabling your stream

of subconscious to release it with

the same freedom as everyday speech.

In other words,

you stream

your lines.

THE BOOK

Streamlining Book

IMAGINE what it would be like to never worry about your lines again; how much confidence you would feel if the words came to you like everyday conversation; how easy it would be to take direction if you weren’t locked in your head trying to remember your lines.

STREAMLINING is a user-friendly, easily comprehended system that gently guides the reader to a thrilling freedom in their work. It is fun, and gets you involved right off the top.

Realize that with STREAMLINING as a companion to your acting techniques, you will do your best work without the obstacle of the lines draining your energy and strenuously challenging your self-belief. With practice and focus, this exciting independence from the lines will be yours!

This edition invites singers, poets, rappers and all artists of the spoken word to expand their horizons to Streamlining learning.

"Our fears

are traitors,

and make us

lose the good

we oft

might win,

by fearing to attempt."

Bio

CREATOR, DEANNE HENRY

Deanne Henry has been a successful screen and stage actress for over 50 years.

Born in Muncie, Indiana, she began dancing and acting with a touring children’s drama company at the age of three. She moved to Toronto, enjoyed an impressive musical theater career, then ran off to join the circus.

Deanne has had literally thousands of hours in film, television and onstage. Over the past several years, she has expanded her repertoire to directing, writing and coaching in both Vancouver and L.A. She now resides full-time in Vancouver where she coaches, using “Streamlining” as a major adjunct to her syllabus.

A founding member of the UBCP film and television union of British Columbia, Deanne received an ACTRA LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP AWARD. She was on the Board of PAL, BC (The Performing Arts Lodge) operating under the mission: "No person in the professional performing arts community will live in isolation, want or fear."

Deanne won a LEO AWARD for best performance by a female in a dramatic television series. She was recently honoured with the SAM PAYNE AWARD for humanity, integrity and encouragement of new talent. She was also voted ACTRA/UBCP's International Woman's Day Honouree.

My wish for you is that you find yourself freed and in charge of all your gifts. Discover the joy, the excitement and the sweet sense of fulfillment that comes with being totally available to create your best work.

You’re bright, gifted and so courageous.
